PARTNER WITH ME FOR the 2024 SEASON

I'm preparing to qualify for the 2024 Olympics, which will take place in Paris, France. The qualification process for the Olympic Games ends this year. To prepare for that, I am planning trips throughout the year to visit training Centres and different National Teams. Once the training season is over, the competition season beings!

There are three big tournaments that contribute for qualifying for the Paris Olympics. This includes two world cup stages and the 2024 European Championships, which will take place in South Korea, Turkey, and Germany. Although some tournaments are funded, I've listed below my budget that consists of personal funding needed for this upcoming season.

About

ABOUT ME

My name is Liliana Licari. I was born in Switzerland, and train at the World Archery Excellence Centre (WAEC) in Lausanne, Switzerland. My Dad is from the USA and my Mom is from South Korea.

I picked up a bow for the first time in December 2017, during my younger sister's birthday party. In January 2018, I joined a free school program and participated in lessons once a week. It was really fun, so I joined some Kids' Camps and soon became a WAEC member so that I could shoot more often. I didn't train that much, and really only enjoyed the sport as a hobby. Then, in October 2019, my family took a trip to Korea and I had the amazing opportunity to be trained by coach Lee Ji-Yeon at Bang-I middle school (Jamsil, Seoul) for 4 weeks.

This experience motivated me to train more and try to reach a high level in the sport. After returning home from our trip to Korea, Covid started. I took this opportunity to train hard during the first COVID-19 lockdown in early 2020. I also decided to start homeschooling that year so I could spend more time training. I train 5-6 days a week, 4-5 hours a day. I study the other half of the day to get my "Certificat de Maturité Gymnasiale", a diploma that opens the door for me to go to any university in Switzerland.
